AMS College of Nursing Hyderabad

With the changing times the demand for B.Sc. Nursing is on the increase and Andhra Mahila Sabha felt that the time has come for it to establish a Nursing College since it is already running nursing schools and have a multidisciplinary hospital.  The result was the establishment of College of Nursing in 2005.  B.Sc. Nursing course is affiliated to NTR Health University and annual intake of students is 50.

A new building for the college was constructed in 2007.

Objectives:

  • To nurture professionalism, to encourage the right aptitude and to impart high skill levels through comprehensive nursing care in all aspects of illness.
  • To develop skills in recognizing & interpreting intelligently the physical, mental and emotional manifestations of illness of the patient and to develop the ability to plan personalized nursing care.
  • To train the students to work in co-operation and co-ordination with medical and paramedical personnel and to encourage participation in continuing educational programmes.
  • To develop skills in extra curricular activities and to develop as an all round individual.
  • To develop a sense of commitment to the profession and work for the welfare of the society.
  • To practice ethical values in personal and professional life.
